Insulating Concrete Formwork (ICF) systems are a modern method of construction where rigid polystyrene forms are used as permanent shuttering for poured concrete. The forms are stacked like blocks, reinforced with steel as required, then filled with ready-mixed concrete to create a solid structural wall. How to use ICF Blocks

Using ICF blocks is a straightforward, step-by-step process. The blocks are set out on the foundation and stacked in courses, a bit like oversized building blocks, with the interlocking edges keeping everything aligned. Steel reinforcement is added inside the forms where required, and openings for windows, doors and services are built in as you go.
